I’ve often wondered/pondered why it is that you can be rested, feeling relatively good, put on the running shoes and the moment your foot strikes the asphalt you just know every step is going to require a commitment (complete commitment) to get through the session, yet other times its effortless from the first stride to the last (not that you haven’t broken a sweat).

I enjoy swimming and it’s a similar sensation, the moment the water touches my body I know whether the session is going to be almost like a moving meditation or if every stroke will require effort and feel torturous.

Why is this???

Perhaps it’s just the mind…..

Meditation is similar, you sit, and its effortless and there is a beautiful flow, other times every moment is pure torture!
